About
CelebPedia is an independent celebrity encyclopedia built for readers who want clear, factual and easy-to-read information about the people behind the headlines. We bring biography, career milestones, birthdays and public facts together in one place — and we show you where every fact came from.
We are not a gossip site. Our pages are written and reviewed by people, not scraped from other websites, and every profile is published with a list of the sources used to compile it.
Our mission
Search for any well-known name and you will find a dozen pages that copy each other, mix up dates, and repeat figures with no source at all. Our mission is to fix that for celebrity information.
We want CelebPedia to be the page you can actually check. That means plain language, a consistent structure on every profile, visible sources, and a clear label wherever a number is only an estimate.
What you will find on CelebPedia
Celebrity profiles — biography, early life, career, personal life, key facts, and related articles, each with its own list of sources.
Birthdays — browse celebrities by the day they were born, or see who shares your birthday today.
Categories — actors, singers, athletes, directors, entrepreneurs, creators and more, so you can explore a field rather than a single name.
News and features — explainers and articles about what is happening in entertainment and why it matters.
The CelebPedia app — the same encyclopedia on Android, with fast search and a favourites list you can keep offline.
How we research and verify
Every profile starts from publicly available information: official websites, established news organisations, reference works and reputable interviews. We then write an original summary rather than copying text from another site.
Our rule is simple: if we state a fact, we should be able to point to where it came from. Profiles list their sources at the bottom of the page, and on newer pages individual facts are linked to the exact source that supports them, so you can verify a date, a birthplace or a career milestone in one click.
Some information changes constantly. Net worth, relationship status, award counts and career totals are the most common examples. Where a figure is an estimate or disputed across sources, we say so on the page instead of presenting it as settled fact.
Our editorial standards
Sources first. Facts are compiled from public, attributable sources and referenced on the page.
No unsourced claims about living people. Sensitive or negative information about a real person is only published when it is well documented in reliable reporting.
Original writing. We do not copy paragraphs from other websites or reproduce complete articles.
Clear labelling. Estimates are marked as estimates, and the date of the latest update is shown.
Corrections are welcome. When something is wrong, we fix it and update the page rather than quietly deleting it.
Each page moves through a draft, review and publish workflow, so a profile is only visible once it has been checked against its sources. You can read the full details in our editorial policy.
Independent and ad-supported
CelebPedia is an independent publication. We are not owned by, and do not accept payment from, the publicists or representatives of the people we write about, and no one can pay to change a profile or remove a sourced fact.
To keep the site free, we display advertising, including ads served by third-party networks. Advertising is separated from editorial content and has no influence on what we publish or how we rank it. Details are in our privacy policy.
The CelebPedia app
The encyclopedia is also available as a free Android app. It includes the same profiles and articles, a search that gets you to a name in two taps, birthday listings, and the ability to save profiles to a favourites list for later reading. You can find it on Google Play.
Corrections, feedback and contact
If a page contains an error, is out of date, or you have information that would improve it, please tell us. The fastest route is email: [email protected]. Including the page URL and a link to a reliable source helps us verify and correct the page quickly.
We aim to review factual corrections within a few business days. Requests involving privacy or legal issues are treated as a priority. Our contact page has more detail.
Frequently asked questions
Who writes CelebPedia?
Our editorial team researches and writes each profile, then reviews it against the listed sources before publishing. Pages are updated as new, reliable information appears.
Can I trust the net worth figures?
Treat them as estimates, because that is what they are. Net worth is compiled from public reporting and varies between sources, so it is labelled as an estimate and linked to the reporting we used.
Do you write about private individuals?
No. CelebPedia covers people who are public figures because of their work. We do not publish private information about people who are not public figures, and we do not publish addresses, private contact details or unverified personal claims.
How can I get a page corrected?
Email [email protected] with the page link and, if possible, a source. If the information checks out, we update the page and note the change.
Is the app free?
Yes. The Android app is free to download and includes the same content as the website, along with favourites and offline access to saved profiles.
